K-12 Outreach/Summer Camps

Don’t miss out on an amazing opportunity for your student to explore new experiences and meet new people by coming to our highly rated summer camps here in Rocky Mount, NC!

2021 Summer Youth Enrichment Camps

The camps below are administered either by the ECU/NC State Collaborative or our partners.  All of the camps will take place at the Gateway Technology Center on the campus of NC Wesleyan College.

We hope you can join us for at least one!

  • NC State Veterinary Camp
    • June 14 – June 18, 9am – 3pm
    • Open to current 5th – 8th graders
    • $210 (A limited number of scholarships are available)
    • Application deadline is 5pm on Friday, April 30th

    • All lunches and materials are provided
  • Elementary Math Camp- CANCELED
    • June 16 – June 19 (Tuesday-Friday)
    • There will be two sessions.  Morning session is from 9am-noon; afternoon session is from 1-4pm
    • Open to current 3rd-5th grade students
    • $0, due to the generous financial support of the Carolinas Gateway Partnership
    • Do you enjoy math?  Do you want a little extra math practice over the summer?

    • Space is limited – students can apply to either the morning OR afternoon session, not both
  • NC State Summer STEM Academy – To Be Held Virtually
    • This year’s themes are biotechnology, engineering/technology, and physics. For more information click here
    • July 19 – July 23, 8am – 5pm
    • Open to current 6th-11th grade students
    • $150
    • A limited number of scholarships will be available

Partner Camps

Shelton Leadership Challenge

  • June 27 – July 2, all-day/night residential camp
  • Open to current 8th-12th grade students (graduating seniors included)
  • The foundation of the program is based on General Shelton’s five cornerstones of values-based leadership – honesty, integrity, compassion, diversity, and social responsibility.  Click here to see flyer.
